Appointments
I strive to make our sessions as comfortable and convenient as possible. We can schedule our appointments around your child’s feeding or mealtimes and your work schedule - evening and weekend appointments available.
As a home visiting dietitian, I bring all the tools to your home to properly evaluate the growth of your child (i.e. infant scale, length measuring board and all the other fun accessories dietitians like to use to assess growth).
Ideally, we begin with an initial in-home visit to meet you and your child and get a good feeding history.
From there, follow-up appointments are typically a blend of in-home and virtual sessions, based on how often we meet.
In-Home Visits: Available to families living in Washington County or the westside of Multnomah County (about 10 miles from Beaverton). A small fee can be discussed for families living outside of these areas.
Virtual Visits: Available for all families living outside my in-person service area or for those who simply prefer telehealth. I will just need updated measurements from your medical provider prior to these appointments.
Why In-Home Appointments?
Nutrition isn’t just about what you eat, it’s about routines, environment, family dynamics, and real-life challenges. Feeding difficulties are often highly emotional and time consuming. Home visits help give us a clearer picture of feeding concerns and how we may best approach them.
How are home-Visit appointments unique?
Observe mealtimes and home feeding routines
Teach age-appropriate feeding strategies
Engage with all caregivers (parents, nannies, grandparents, PSWs)
Align nutritional recommendations with cultural preferences and family values
Provide coaching to parents and caregivers
